Hope Zentner, 108, of Falls City, passed away March 24, 2019, in Falls City. She was born March 7, 1911, in Central City, NE to Mahlon and Mary (Pike) Cheever.
Hope moved to Falls City in 1915 with her parents and graduated from Falls City High School in 1929.
She married Frank Zentner on September 7, 1929, inFalls City. He passed away on February 28, 1984.
She worked for Dr. H. R. Miner for ten years and Chaney Furniture for 30 years. She and her husband had been partners in Chaney-Zentner Used Furniture Store. She was a member of First Christian Church at Falls City.
Hope is survived by her son, Gary and his wife, LaVina of Falls City, grandson, Brian of Hiawatha and a great-granddaughter, Emily Barrand and her husband Phoenix of Hiawatha. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Ramona Faith, sisters, Elva, and Gladys Cheever, brothers, Elmer, Elwin, Harold, and her twin Harry Cheever.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Steele Cemetery with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating.
