Cheryl Lynn Vice, 68, passed away at 7:05 pm on June 7, 2018.
Cheryl graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Education and later went on to specialize in Special Education in School Administration. She started her career in Falls City, moved to Willard, MO, and then moved on to Oxnard, CA, where she became an Assistant Principal and then retired as Principal in 2014.
Cheryl moved back to Springfield, MO to be closer to her adored grandkids Addison and Ethan. She also became a CASA volunteer and a volunteer with Recue One fostering dogs.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Joshua Thomas, Vice; father, Leo Schuetz; father, Stan Catlett; and brother-in-law Allen Beyer.
Cheryl is survived by her mother, Charlene Schuetz; daughter Nikole (Eric) Albaugh; two amazing grandkids, Addison and Ethan Albaugh; brothers Scotty (Jeanne) Schuetz, Tom (Becky) Schuetz, Jay (Stacey) Catlett, and Dan Catlett; sisters Jerelyn (Mike) Miles, Margaret Beyer, and Julie Catlett; and many loved nieces, nephews, great nephews, and a soon to be great niece.
Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:30 am at Campbell United Methodist Church, Springfield, MO. No visitation is scheduled. There will be a luncheon following the service at the church.
