Karl W Kruse

Karl W Kruse, 57, of Springfield, MO, passed away on March 4, 2018 at his home in Springfield, MO. He was born on Oct. 13, 1960 at Falls City, to LaVern and Edith (Baudendistel) Kruse.

Karl was raised on the family farm north of Falls City and graduated Falls City High School in 1978. He attended University of Nebraska- Lincoln and graduated 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

After graduating, Karl worked for a number of companies as a project manager until he started his own project management business, K2PM in Los Angeles, CA. Growing up, Karl enjoyed fishing, trapping, art, and was a member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Falls City. As his work took him to California, Karl enjoyed living in West Hollywood. His hobbies included, boating, skiing, traveling abroad, and the ocean. His passion and love was for his Labrador retrievers.

Karl is survived by his mother, Edith of Springfield, MO; his sister, Karen and her husband Scott Maze of Falls City; his brother, Steve and his partner Don Whitaker of Carlsbad, CA; nephews, Derek Maze and Brent Scott Maze, both of Lincoln, NE.

He is preceded in death by his father, LaVern Kruse. A family graveside service will be held at Fricke Cemetery and a memorial service will be held in California, both at a later date.

The family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation to the American Diabetes Association and to the No-Kill Los Angeles and the Best Friends Animal Society.
