Joyce E. Appelseth, 81 of Enterprise, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Enterprise Estates Nursing Home. She was born in Hiawatha, Kansas, August 10, 1936, the daughter of Harry P. and Thelma Mae (Garner) Dean. On June 17, 1956 she was united in marriage to Ralph B. Appelseth in Falls City, Nebraska.
He preceded her in death September 18, 2003. Joyce had worked as a CNA and CMA at the Enterprise Estates Nursing Home. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Deana Long and husband Marty Schuetz of Hiawatha, Kansas. Two sons, Ralph H. Appelseth of Enterprise and Charles V. Appelseth of Manhattan, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Ralph, son-in-law, Steve Long, one sister, Patti Dean and a brother, Gerald Dean. Funeral Services for Joyce will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, November 6, 2017 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Enterprise.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 2-4 P.M., at the Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be given to the Global Missions, Inc. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Thirds St., Abilene, Kansas 67410.
