Sean A. Coy, 20, of Falls City, formerly of Beatrice, passed away at his home on Monday, May 15, 2017. He was born on Feb. 20, 1997 in Beatrice to Jayson Stevens and Damia (Hamm) Coy.
Sean had lived in Beatrice until moving to Falls City in 2013. He was a member of, and was baptized at, the First Mennonite Church, rural Beatrice, and enjoyed drawing, and building with Lego’s.
Survivors include his mother, Damia Coy and special friend Marcus Heller, of Falls City; sister, Kirah Coy, of Falls City; father, Jayson Stevens, of Lincoln; grandparents, Tim and Joyce Hamm, and Jim and Cindy Stevens, all of Beatrice; great-grandmother, Marjorie I. Epp, of Beatrice; and aunt, Shila Hamm, of Lake Havasu, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Harold Epp.
Memorial services were held Friday, May 19, 2017 at the First Mennonite Church, rural Beatrice, with Pastor Brett Klingenberg officiating. Visitation was Thursday at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
