LORETTA SEVERIN

Loretta A. (Miller) Severin, 81, of Falls City, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Lincoln, NE. She was born June 16, 1935 at Wathena, KS to Aloysius and Frances (Studer) Miller.
Loretta was raised in the Leavenworth, KS area. She graduated from Immaculata High School, Leavenworth, in 1952 and from The Sisters of Charity School of Nursing in September 1955.
She married Ralph (Jerry) Severin on Oct. 19, 1957, at St. Joseph of the Valley Catholic Church in Easton, KS. She was a Registered Nurse until retiring in 1982. She lived in various places due to her husband’s service in the Air Force. They moved from rural Lolo, MT to Falls City in 1999.  Loretta spent many hours cultivating her flower garden and she shared those flowers with everyone. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, DAV Auxiliary, and Catholic Daughters of America, all of Falls City.
Loretta is survived by a son, Dr. Stephen (Ann) Severin, of Falls City, brothers, Robert (Gloria) Miller, of Kansas City, MO, Douglas (Vi) Miller, of Lonsdale, MN, sister, Alicia Sifford of Leavenworth, KS, and a granddaughter, Kayla Severin of Falls City.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph (Jerry) Severin in 2010, her parents Aloysius and Frances Miller, and sons Ronald Shane and Michael Shawn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dunavan as the presiding priest.
Inurnment will be in St. Benedict’s Catholic Cemetery at Bendena, KS.
A Catholic Daughters rosary will be recited on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 4:30 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
A Parish Rosary will be recited the same day at 6:30 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home in Falls City with family receiving friends following the parish rosary.
