ARLENE ROGERS

Arlene Rogers, 92, of Kansas City, MO (formerly of Falls City), passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. She was born May 14, 1924 at Stella to the late Wesley and Edna (Arington) Curfman.
 
She married Pete Rogers on Nov. 12, 1945 at Hiawatha, KS. Mr. Rogers passed away on Oct. 29, 1988.

Arlene was raised in the Dawson and Stella areas and graduated from Dawson High School in 1942. When married the couple established their home in Falls City. She was a homemaker her entire life and when she moved to Pioneer Plaza she attended and enjoyed St. Paul’s Lutheran Church ladies’ coffee on Thursday mornings. She moved to Kansas City in 2011 to be near her daughters.

She was a member of First Brethren Church and American Legion Auxiliary #102 of Falls City.

Arlene is survived by her daughters, April Mahoney and Pamela (Steven) Lange, both of Overland Park, KS; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Fred, Edward and Bob Curfman; sisters, Verna Bauman and Minnie Kuker; and a granddaughter, Angela Lange.
 
Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, Falls City, with Rev. Andrew Chavanak officiating. Interment at Heim Cemetery at Dawson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
