JOANN BLECHA ROSE

Joann Mae (Blecha) Rose, 75, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Humboldt, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Falls City. She was born in Humboldt, on April 28, 1941 to Ivan and Amy (Rue) Blecha.  
Joann was raised in Humboldt where she attended grade school and later graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1959.
In Sept. of 1961, Joann was united in marriage to Jack Rose in Seneca, KS. To this union they welcomed a daughter Kelly on Oct. 23, 1963 and a son Rodney in Oct. of 1970. Joann worked for Station Casino in Kansas City from 1995 until retirement   She made many friends during her time there.  Joann loved her family more than anything and in her free time she enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing at the casino herself!
 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack Rose, son Rodney Rose, brothers: Roger, Donnie, Dick, and Randy Blecha.
She is survived by her daughter Kelly (Craig) Mattox, of Falls City; grandchildren: Brandy Lynn (Nick) Strecker, of Falls City,, Jessica Nicole (Keith) Carpenter, of Troy, KS; Justin Craig Mattox and Emily Campbell of Falls City; great-grandchildren: Jackson and Dayton Carpenter of Troy, KS; brother Gene Blecha of Humboldt; sister Lu Ann (Greg) Iliff, of Humboldt; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017, at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska.  
  Inurnment will be at The Bohemian National Cemetery south of Humboldt at a later date.
 Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
