WILMA BROOK FISCHER

Wilma Ilene (Brook) Fischer, 78, passed away on July 18, 2016. She was born February 1, 1938 in Willis, KS.
She attended Hiawatha schools, and went on to enjoy a career as the Circulation Manager with the Overland Park Sun Newspaper for over 25 years.
She was an avid University of Kansas Basketball Fan, an artist, and loved a good book.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Darrell Fischer, four children Jesse (Mary) Fischer, Bill (Carol) Fischer, Robin Sage and Paul (Stacey) Fischer, six grandchildren; Anthony, Zachery, Carole, George, Olivia and Will, her sisters Pauline Blanton and Barbara Gaede and her brothers John and Ben Brook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mary Ellen Schoonover and Patricia Brook, and son-in-law Mike Sage.
Services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Penwell-Gabel – Olathe Chapel, 14275 Blackbob Rd. in Olathe, KS  66062.
