JOHN KELLER

John Keller, 64, of Rulo, passed away June 9, 2016 at Falls City. He was born Aug. 2, 1951 at Falls City, to the late Charles and Cora (Ogden) Keller.
John was raised Rulo, and attended grade school there before attending two years of school in Reserve, KS and then graduating from Falls City High School in 1969.
John married Paula Simmonds on Sept. 27, 1971 at Savannah, MO. She passed away on June of 1981. He later married Kristine Voter on April 27, 1983 at Miami, OK and they were later divorced. He became employed at Butler Manufacturing at Kansas City erecting Ag storage tanks. He then worked installing fiber optic cable throughout the United States for various companies. He was last employed by the town of Rulo as a maintenance man and then retired in 2009 due to his health.
He was a member of the Iowa tribe in Kansas and Nebraska and also of the Boilermakers union of Kansas City.
John is survived by sons, Mike Keller and Jordan (Alicia) Keller, of Rulo; daughters, Billee Keller and Ralph Popejoy, of Rulo and Katie (Kaleb) Gilkerson, of Falls City. Brother: Charles (Sandy) Keller of Salem; sisters Sisters: Barb (Jim) Prater of Rulo and Marcia (Donnie) Simmonds of Falls City and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Paula Simmonds.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Yount officiating. Interment will follow at the Rulo Cemetery.
