REV. HENRY WAGONER

Rev. Henry Wagoner, 89, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 in Wichita. He was born on Aug. 10, 1926 at Elkhart, KS, the son of Hank and Dorothy (Percival) Wagoner.

Henry served in the US Army during WWII and married Eleanora Posey on Sept. 23, 1947. He attended Bethany (OK) Nazarene College and served at a small congregational church, as well as the Oklahoma City jail. Following graduation, Henry, with his wife, served at three Kansas Nazarene churches in Concordia, Severy and Hoisington. The family then moved to Falls City, where he served at the Bethel EUB Church for three years. His longest pastorate was 11 years at Rose Valley EUB in Down, KS. Henry and Eleanora made many mission trips to Costa Rica and made two trips to Guatemala with his son’s medical team.

Henry is survived by sons, Dr. Jack Wagoner, of Ann Arbor, MI, and Jerry (Terri) Wagoner, of Lucas, KS; daughters, Linda Gros, of Wichita, and Tricia Rotman, of Clearwater, KS;

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 at the Clay Center (KS) United Methodist Church, with Pastor Ryan Lynch officiating.
