Kenneth Oberst, 93, of Falls City, formerly of Gladstone, MO, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015. He was born on Sept. 3, 1922 at Falls City to the late Edwin and Lena (Brecheisen) Oberst.
Kenneth graduated from Falls City High School in 1941. He married Anna Jean (Kennedy) Oberst in Fremont, on April 22, 1961. Anna passed away May 27, 2006. Kenneth was an avid fisherman, golfer, he did handcrafting and leather stitching. He loved his dogs. He was Line Patrol Foreman for Williams Pipeline and retired on Dec. 1, 1989 after 37 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Anna, a Sister Mildred (Oberst) Pflaum, two brothers, Robert W. and Virgil E. Oberst.
Kenneth is survived by three sisters. Juanita Hanika and Lavern Sherrill, of Falls City. Velma Koenig of Lexington, TX, Sister-in-law Wilma Oberst of Falls City; 15 nieces and nephews, their spouses and many great nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone, MO at 2:00 pm Friday, Oct. 2, 2015. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
