RAYMOND FIEGENER

Raymond Fiegener, 90, of Dawson, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015 at Falls City. He was born on March 1, 1925 at Westmoreland, KS, to the late Godfrey and Caroline (Forst) Fiegener. 

Raymond was raised in Pawnee City and following his schooling, he began farming with his father. On Dec. 30, 1952 he married Doris Ann Fisher at Steinauer. The couple established their home on a farm south of Dawson. He farmed his entire life and moved into Dawson upon retiring in 1994. 

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Dawson and Knights of Columbus. He also served on the Honey Creek School Board.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Doris, of Dawson; daughters, Theresa Bryan, of Dawson, and Cecilia (Seth) Dunn, and Anna Fiegener, both of Falls City; sons, James (Kathy) Fiegener, Charles (Colleen) Fiegener and Francis (Julie) Fiegener, all of Dawson, and Thomas Fiegener, of Lee’s Summit, MO; brother, Wildred (Barb) Fiegener, of Utica; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Roth, Elizabeth Fiegener and Adela Steinblock

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Dawson, with Fr. Kenneth Hoesing as the presiding priest. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the rosary.
