JUNE BINDLE

June Bindle, 89, of Falls City, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Falls City. She was born on June 12, 1925 at Barada to the late Vernon J. and Lucile (Koso) Wagner.

She was raised in Falls City and attended Falls City High School. Following her schooling, June worked at the Quaker Oats Bomb Factory in Grand Island. She worked there for a year before, on April 30, 1945, she married Lloyd F. Bindle at Hiawatha, KS. The couple established their home in Fallbrook, CA, where Lloyd was stationed while serving in the Navy. They moved back to Falls City after his discharge and she was a homemaker. They moved to Atchison, KS in 1952, then back to Falls City  for good in 1953.

She was active in the Immanuel Methodist Church for many years and also sang in the Sweet Adelines. She also enjoyed oil painting, writing and poetry.

June is survived by her husband, Lloyd, of Falls City; daughters, Carol (Larry) Graham, of Lincoln, and Sondra (Brian) Haarberg, of Frisco, TX; son, Bruce (Roberta) Bindle, of Falls City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Zimmerman, Loma Martin and Carolyn Biesecker; and a brother, Robert Wagner.

Her funeral was held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Northridge Church at Falls City, with Brian Voos officiating. Interment at Steele Cemetery. The family received friends Wednesday, April 15, at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, Falls City.
