LINDA L. (RAMER) DICKS

Linda Lee Ramer Stivers Dicks, of Rhome, TX (formerly of Falls City), passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, in Decatur, TX , after battling lung cancer.

Linda is survived by husband of nearly 35 years, James; children, Dawn (David) Roehrich, of Tampa, FL,  Randal (Tina) Stivers, of San Antonio, TX, James W. Dicks Esposito, of Pasadena, TX, and  Darla (Lance) Barnes, of Dexter, MI; brother, Doyle Ramer, of Falls City; grandchildren, Nicholas Ross, of Columbia MO, Samantha Stivers, of Lincoln, Brittny Love (Heath) Guzman, of Mineral Wells, TX, Zachary and Dakota Stivers, of San Antonio, and Drew, Shelby and Trent Barnes, of Dexter.    

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ona Ramer, and brothers, Wayne and Kenneth Ramer.

Linda grew up in Barada, attended Shubert Public Schools and graduating from Falls City High School in 1962. She married Donald Stivers that same year and they divorced in 1973. She then married James Dicks in 1980.

After retiring from Siemens in 2009, she kept busy with part-time jobs and gardening. An avid animal lover, Linda has been called the ‘chicken-lady’ for naming and treating her hens like pets. Her bright smile and contagious laugh will be missed by her many friends and colleagues.
