DR. DONALD TUTT, M.D.

Dr. Donald L. Tutt, M.D., 79, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away Oct. 9, 2015.  
He heard his country’s call and joined The US Air Force, serving as an Airman First Class. He received an honorable discharge for services rendered to his country. Dr. Tutt was a godly man and had been a member of Graceway Baptist Church for over 26 years. Dr. Tutt completed his undergraduate work at Cameron University and Central State University. He was a graduate of University of Oklahoma Medical School as an M.D.
Dr. Tutt had a family practice in Henryetta for 14 years and after a residency in anesthesiology in 1979, practiced in OKC for 35 years. He was absolutely the kindest, caring, most gracious person, with a great sense of humor who never met a stranger. He loved life and people. Dr. Tutt loved fishing, working on the farm and woodworking. He was an inquisitive man, especially about learning and the outdoors. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, investing in grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois (Decker) Tutt; children, Daniel Lee (Tatiana) Tutt, Robert D. (Teena) Tutt, Laura Beth (Dr. Chris) Meyer, Dr. Richard D. (Kelli) Tutt, and Lisa R. (Michael) Williams; 17 grandchildren, Joshua Lee (Kristin) Tutt, Nicole (D.J.) Ott, Amanda R. Tutt, Cailin C. Tutt and Chloe T. Tutt, Christopher D. (Emily) Meyer, Lauren E. Meyer , Matthew K. Meyer, Ryan M. Meyer, Tyler James Tutt, Richard Cole Tutt, Jonathan Braden Tutt, Ashley Nicole Williams, Zachary M. T. Williams, Alexandria R. Williams and Makayla G. Williams; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of cousins and other loving family members.  
He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jessica Tutt; and brothers, Richard Tutt and Earl E. Tutt.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015 at Graceway Baptist Church, 1100 SW 104th, Oklahoma City, OK. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Services were provided by John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
