BARBARA HAHN

Barbara Hahn, 71, of Falls City, passed away Sunday, March 2019, 2015 at Falls City. She was born March 19, 1944 at Falls City to the late John and Capitola (Furnas) Young.

Barb was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1962. She graduated from Peru State College with a teaching degree and taught at Salem for one year. On June 12, 1966 she married Larry J. Hahn at Falls City. When married, the couple established their home in Falls City and she worked at J.C. Penny, Pamida and Community Medical Center. She was also a bookkeeper for Young Music Co., which was owned by her father. She retired from the hospital in 1999 due to her health.

Barbara was a member of First United Methodist Church at Falls City.

She’s survived by her husband, Larry, of Falls City; son, Steven Hahn, of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Cherie (Mike) Frederick, of Falls City; granddaughters, Emma and Taylor Frederick, of Falls City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Dorr & Clark Funeral Home, of Falls City, with Rev. Paul Weinert officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. The family prefers memorials be made to family choice in lieu of flowers.
