ROSEMARY A. BAKER

Rosemary A. Baker, 80, Hiawatha, KS, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Maple Heights in Hiawatha. She was born Jan. 28, 1935 in Falls City.

She married Wayne Franklin Baker on Aug. 29, 1950. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2009.

Rosemary was an accomplished painter and made stained glass. She was a pianist at various churches for many years and loved all crafting.

Mrs. Baker was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Esther (Taylor) Bowen; daughter, Rayna Lynn Baker; sister, Eileen Ogg; brother, J.C. Bowen; and step-father, Howard “Shorty” Rosenberger.

Survivors include son, Clifford Wayne Baker, of Hiawatha; granddaughter, Sydney Jane Baker; sister, Betty Johansen (Ed); brother-in-law, Harold Ogg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Christian Center in Hiawatha, with Tony French officiating. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment to be held at Steele Cemetery in Falls City at a later date.
