Nora E. Cowles, 54, of Omaha, passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015. She was born on March 27, 1959 to Jack and Mary Ellen Cowles.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Smith; sons, Alex and Jack Ruppert; daughter, Katie (Leo) Foley; granddaughters, Vicki and Briana Foley; brothers, Mike (Betsy) Cowles, John Cowles and Rusty (Linda) Cowles; sisters, Cathy (Dean) Sharbaugh, Meg Steinhauser, Mimi (Matt) Santo and Patti (Adam) Redding; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sue Cummins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, with a vigil service at 7, all at the West Center Chapel of Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler Mortuary, 7805 W. Center Rd., Omaha. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the West Center Chapel. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities or Campus for Hope.
