CHARLOTTE L. ALEXANDER-COURT

A celebration of life will be at a later date for Dawson native Charlotte Frances Alexander-Court, 85, who died Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at Sterling Park Health Care in Waite Park, MN. She was born on Nov. 29, 1929 in Sauk Centre, MN, the daughter of Frank and Esther (Green) Thiers.  

Charlotte grew up in the Sauk Centre area and graduated from Swanville (MN) High School in 1948. She then went on to nursing school at the John Peter Smith School of Nursing in Fort Worth, TX, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1956.

She was united in marriage to William L. Alexander on June 28, 1958 in Fort Worth, TX. The couple lived in various places and eventually settled in Dawson in 1994. William passed away in 1998.

Charlotte continued to live in Dawson until 2002, when she retired from nursing at Community Medical Center in Falls City and moved to St. Cloud, MN. She married Alvin Court on June 3, 2006 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Catholic Church in St. Cloud. They resided in St. Cloud after marriage. She loved sewing, going to the casino and being with family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents and first husband, William, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Beverly, Philemene, Yvone and Jeanette; and one brother, Kevin Thiers.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin, of St. Cloud; children, Claudette (Randy) Herron, of Moody, TX, Danny (Karla) Alexander, of Abilene, TX, and Lourie (Les) Stonebarger, of Auburn; three step children; four grandchildren, Nikki (Brian) McKim, of Falls City, Cori (Heath) Christiansen, of Auburn, Kami (Josh) Fleming  and Keaton Alexander, both of Abilene, TX; five great-grandchildren, Alexander McKim, Lucy and Olive Christiansen, Brock Maxwell and Gunner Fleming; 11 step-grandchildren; and seven step-great grandchildren.
