Darlene Willey, 72, of Emporia, KS, entered into rest on Tuesday Oct. 2, 2014 at Stormont Vail Health Care in Topeka, KS. She was born Oct. 3, 1941 in Salem to Leve and Maude (Roland) Willey.
She loved the Lord and was a good Christian woman who worried for others’ salvation. She loved her roses and was known for her rose bushes.
Darlene is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Kimbrel; father, Leve Willey; daughter, Sharon Marie Kimbrel; granddaughter, Shanon Maree Eppens; brother, Roger Willey.
She is survived by her mother, Maude Willey; daughters, Darlene (James) Green, of Hesteria, CA, Jean Kimbrel, of Emporia, and Susan (Robert) Langston, of Wichita, KS; brothers, Frank Willey and Garland Willey, both of Falls City; five granddaughters and four grandsons; seven great-granddaughters and six great-grandsons
A visitation will take place at Bethel Baptist Church, 1300 W. 12th Ave., Emporia, from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Bethel Baptist Church, with the interment at 2:30 p.m. at Maple Cemetery in Salem.
