LORRAINE ‘TOOTIE’ HOY

Lorraine ‘Tootie’ Hoy, 83, of Falls City, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Falls City. She was born Oct. 5, 1930, at Falls City to the late Russell and Marie (Raguse) Flanagan.
    She married Stacy “Bill” Hoy on June 30, 1951 at Falls City; he passed away Sept. 13, 2005.
    Tootie was raised in Falls City and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1948 and graduated from the St. Joseph Hospital Nursing School in 1951. The couple established their home in Falls City when married and she worked as a Registered Nurse at the Falls City Hospital and Falls City Care Center until retiring in 1998. In 2006 she became a volunteer at Sacred Heart for several years. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, working with stained glass and other crafts.
    She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary & Catholic Daughters.
    She is survived by her children, Stacy William (Ann) Hoy III, of Dallas, TX; Patrick J. (Jan) Hoy, of Billings, MT; Michael J. (Wanda) Hoy, of Lincoln; Timothy J. (Gayle) Hoy, of San Antonio, TX; Kathleen E. (Dr. Ellis) Williams, of Leavenworth, KS; James K. (Ann) Hoy, of Falls City; Stephen R. (Stacy) Hoy, of Falls City; Brian T. (Tanya) Hoy, of Clayton, NC; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren
     Tootie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Grace Holmes, Dorothy Luley, twin sisters in infancy; and a brother, James Flanagan.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Falls City, with Msgr. Robert A. Roh the presiding priest; burial in the Falls City Catholic Cemetery.
      A Catholic Daughters Rosary will be read at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dorr & Clark Funeral Home in Falls City. The Rosary will again be read at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The family will then receive friends at the church.
