FORREST ‘JACK’ FEEK

Forrest “Jack” Feek, 82, of Verdon, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Lincoln. He was born March 22, 1932 north of Sabetha, KS, to the late Walter and Veda (McDougall) Feek.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1952 and served until being honorably discharged in 1954. On Sept. 14, 1957 he married Lorna Kelly at Wichita, KS.

Jack was raised north of Sabetha and attended rural Sabetha schools. He started farming with his father following his schooling and started bulldozing following his service and also farmed. He operated the bulldozing business up until the time of his death. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, six miles north of Falls City and a member of the Sabetha American Legion.

Jack is survived by his wife Lorna, of Verdon; children, Jerry (Connie) and Dave (Tami), both of Falls City, Teresa (Jim) Fischer, of Maynard, MN, Sara (Mark) Villwok, of Coolidge, AZ, Keith Feek, of Shubert; brother, Donald, of Sabetha; sisters, Ethel Lee Frazier and Elta Adamson, both of Omaha, and Elizabeth Ann Quintero, of Fayetteville, NC; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (six miles north of Falls City), with Rev. Daniel Gifford officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.

Open visitation will begin Saturday afternoon until 5 p.m., and from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
