Irish senior Dunn signs with Peru State baseball program

Falls City Sacred Heart senior Chaz Dunn, seated with his parents Joe and Jenny, signed a Letter of Intent last Monday morning to play baseball at Peru State College beginning in the fall. Dunn, a three-sport standout for the Irish and a shortstop on the diamond, led the FC Blue Storm Seniors in nearly every major offensive statistical category last summer and helped them to a district runner-up finish and 19-12 overall record. He batted .391 with 23 RBI, 33 stolen bases and 30 runs scored in 2013.

Dunn and his parents were joined by (standing, from left) Blue Storm Manager Kory Huppert, PSC Head Baseball Coach Wayne Albury and FCSH Activities Director Doug Goltz. Dunn will join 2013 FC High graduate and current Bobcat baseball freshman, Wade Witt. The Bobcats are currently 27-17 and in second place of the Western division of the Heart of America Athletic Conference. PSC begins post-season play in the HAAC tournament May 1-6 at Joplin, Missouri.
