Donald “Donnie” Shubert Jr., 62, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014. He was born in Lincoln July 25, 1951, to Donald and Irene Shubert.
He was raised in Lincoln and attended Lincoln High School.
Donnie is survived by his son, Jason (Tammy) Shubert, Lincoln; daughter, Stacy Thelander and six grandsons: Levi, Gavin, Lucas, and Maxwell Shubert; Gage Kreitman and Elliot Thelander; sisters, Debbie (Bryon) Nelson, Lincoln, Shirley Diaz, Humboldt, Sondra (Fred) Gilbert, Falls City, and Janet Barber, White Cloud, KS; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Rhonda Hunt; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Rae Shubert, Judy Knauber-Niemeyer and Pat Vonderschmidt.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Drifters Bar & Grill, 3223 Cornhusker Hwy., Lincoln.
