Chris Olson, 41, of Tucson, AZ, passed away June 24, 2013 at Tucson. He was born August 5, 1971 at Falls City, NE to Jean (Shurtleff) Sailors and Norman Olson.
Chris was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1990 and attended Southeast Community College at Beatrice, NE. He worked for Ventana Canyon Golf Course at Tucson for many years; later moving to New Hampshire for two years then returned to Tucson to assist and care for his Father following a stroke. Following Chris’s death his organs were donated in the ‘spirit of caring’ that Chris always had. He belonged to the Arizonians for Nebraska Club.
Chris is survived by his mother, Jean Sailors of Falls City, father, Norman Olson of Tucson, brother, Mitch Sailors and his wife Julie of Kansas City, MO, sister, Ali Glathar and her husband Kris of Falls City, grandmother, Rose Shurtleff of Falls City, aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne Shurtleff, George and Leona Olson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at First United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Roxie Sullivan officiating. Inurnment will be in Rulo Cemetery.
