An Elk Creek woman plead not guilty to a felony charge during her arraignment hearing last Tuesday in Richardson County District Court

Erica Beethe, 20, was charged with aiding or abetting theft by unlawful taking, a Class III felony, after her alleged involvement in the theft of a 2008 Jeep Wrangler from Armbruster Motor Company in Falls City.

Beethe was arrested Friday, May 17 in connection with the theft of a Jeep Wrangler which she and another man test drove  during the afternoon hours of May 16.

According to the affidavit, Beethe and a man identified as “Brad” took the Jeep for a test drive and drove it south to the state line where Brad made her get out of the vehicle.
