Robert J. McKim

 

 

 

Robert “Rob” James McKim, 29, of Aldie, VA, formerly of Nebraska City, died at his home on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

He was born in Lincoln April 16, 1984, the son of James Arthur McKim and Jennifer (Pugh) Davila. Rob was raised most of his life in Leesburg, VA. During his junior year of high school, he and his dad moved to Nebraska City,  where Rob graduated from Nebraska City HS in 2002.  He was a starting player for the Nebraska City Senior Legion baseball team that won the Class B State Legion Championship in 2002.

Rob graduated Cum Laude from Peru State College in 2006, where earning a degree in criminal justice. He joined the C.I.A. as an investigator and his career advancement included two tours in the Middle East and most recently as Special Investigator in Virginia/Washington D.C.  

Rob is survived by his father, James McKim, of Nebraska City; mother, Jenni (William) Davila, Virginia; his fiancé, Ashly Carr, Aldie; six aunts and uncles in Nebraska and several cousins throughout the Midwest.

Among those preceding him in death were his grandparents, Donald and Norma McKim and Carol and Margaret Pugh, and his stepmother, Ellen Pugh, all of Humboldt.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the First Presbyterian Church in Humboldt, with Pastor Mary-Ellen Gaither officiating. Inurnment will be at the Mound (Prospect) Cemetery, east of Humboldt, at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to family’s choice, in care of Wherry Mortuary, Humboldt, which is in charge of arrangements.
