Robert F. “Bob” Hyberger

Robert F. “Bob” Hyberger, 56, of Beatrice, died at his home Thursday, March 21, 2013.

He was born May 21, 1956, to Florence (York) and William Hyberger and he had lived in Beatrice his entire life.  Bob was a 1974 graduate of Beatrice High School.

He and Theresa Clark were married on May 16, 1980. He had been employed at the Gage County Highway Dept. and had currently been employed by the University of Nebraska as the county LTAP coordinator. Bob was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed time spent at the family cabin at Big Lake, MO, and time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa, son, Chris (Billi) Hyberger, Beatrice; daughter, Sarah (Jesse) Vater, Beatrice; three grandchildren; sister, Joan (Ross) Stepan, Holmesville; brothers, Hugh (Becky) Hyberger, Salina, KS, and Mark (Linda) Hyberger, Beatrice; sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, his mother-in-law and nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Guy, Dale, Francis and Joseph Hyberger, a sister, Rita Hyberger, and his father-in-law.

Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, March 26, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beatrice. Fr. Steve Major officiated. Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery. A scriptural prayer service was held Monday at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice with the funeral home in charge.
