Bonnie L. Miller

Bonnie L. Miller, 85, of Hiawatha, KS, formerly of Falls City, died March 9, 2013, at Hiawatha. She was born Aug. 13, 1927, at Hubbell, NE, to the late William and Theora (Barnes) Shoup.

Bonnie married Keith Miller on Nov. 15, 1949, at Hebron.

She was five years old when her family moved to a farm east of Alexandria, NE. After high school, she graduated from the Beauty Academy in Beatrice, and worked as a beautician in there for three years. The couple established their home in the Liberty, NE, area when married. They purchased a farm in the Hamlin, KS, area in 1963 and farmed until moving into Falls City in 1985. She operated a beauty shop in her farm home and also her home in Falls City for 33 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Falls City.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Keith, of Hiawatha; sons, Wesley (Sue) Miller, of Hiawatha, and Doyle (Dawna) Miller, of Richmond, VA; daughter, Sondra Sue (Roger) Bales, of Tucson, AZ; sister, Donna Lee Yuhl, of Hastings; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The body of Mrs. Miller has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at First Christian Church in Falls City with Revs. Fay Ann Blaylock and Paul Weinert officiating.
