On May 2, Southeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. (SENCA) celebrated its 47th anniversary of providing a variety of self-sufficiency programs and services to low-income residents in the counties of Cass, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee and Richardson. May is also celebrated nationwide as National Community Action Month.

Roger W. Price, 51, of Rulo, was sentenced for his failure to register as a sex offender. The Honorable Joseph F. Bataillon sentenced Price to an 18 month term of imprisonment.

FC Educational Foundation awards $22,050 in 2013
The Falls City Educational Foundation has announced the winners of scholarships for 2013. A total of $22,050 will be awarded to seniors in the Falls City High School Class of 2013, while four past graduates of FCHS will each receive $2,500 “Betty Schawang Memorial Scholarships.”
