Falls City Public Schools Supt. Tim Heckenlively announced the FC Education Foundation’s Outstanding Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Years Awards during the opening session of the Falls City Public Schools Pre-Service on Monday, Aug. 10.
Jamie Frederick was presented the Outstanding Elementary Teacher of the Year Award. She is beginning her 15th year as an elementary teacher with FCPS. Mrs. Frederick’s current teaching assignment is Title I reading and math intervention.
Laurel Harling is the recipient of the Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year Award. She is beginning her 22nd year with FCPS and is a mathematics and computer teacher at Falls City High School.
The purpose of the awards is to recognize excellence in teaching and recipients consistently demonstrate the ability to be creative leaders in developing instructional materials and teaching strategies, and have attained the respect and support of fellow colleagues, students, administrators, parents and patrons.
