RICHARD ‘DICK’ SHEEHAN

Richard “Dick” Sheehan, 79, of Las Vegas, died August 8, 2015
He was born in Salem, NE to the late Frank and Helen( Babb) Sheehan, February 24, 1936. Dick graduated from Verdon High School in 1953. He married Elizabeth Porter in 1958, living together in Omaha, NE, before relocating to Las Vegas in 1978.
Dick was a long time member of The Carpenters Union of Nevada Local 1780. He was a carpenter for many years and has left a legacy of lovely buildings and homes throughout Nebraska and Nevada. He worked at Empire Construction and Mikon Construction in Las Vegas, where he worked on such places as Vegas World (now known as The Stratosphere), the Bridger Building, and Bob Baskin Park, to name a few.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mike.  He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; four children: Debbie of Eugene, OR; Barbara of Las Vegas; Douglas (Anna) of Kolobrzeg, Poland, and Tom of Las Vegas. He also is survived by his six beloved grandchildren; Dinah, Jaden, Matty, Martin, Jacob, and Allison. He also is survived by his sisters: Pat Sheehan of Elko, NV and Caroline (Bob) McKay of Las Vegas, and his nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
