Opponents were announced Thursday morning for the second round of the Class C and D NSAA State Football Playoffs.
Top-seeded FC Sacred Heart (9-0) travels to Lyons Wednesday for a 4 p.m. matchup with ninth-seeded Lyons-Decatur Northeast (8-1). The Irish were 58-0 winners over Kenesaw in their first round game, while Lyons-Decatur defeated the eight seed, Meridian, 60-24.
Seven-seed Falls City High (6-3), fresh off the school’s first-ever state playoff victory, travel to Lincoln Wednesday for a rematch with two-seed Lincoln Christian (8-1), who cruised by Milford, 48-21. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Lincoln’s Seacrest Field, located near 70th and A Streets. Christian defeated the Tigers, 49-28, on Oct. 24th in Lincoln.

Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise officials, in cooperation with Senator Deb Fischer’s office, have announced that plans have been finalized for Sen. Fischer’s visit to Falls City on Tuesday, April 30.
