Evelyn A. Milburn, 93, of Falls City, died here Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
She was born May 27, 1919, at Barada, the daughter of the late Frederick and Louise (Bahr) Merz. Evelyn was raised in the Barada area and graduated from Barada High School in 1936. She worked for Modern Cleaners in Falls City.
She married Norman W. Eickhoff on May 14, 1946, at Hiawatha, KS. They lived northwest of Falls City. Mr. Eickhoff died on Sept. 15, 1963. Evelyn married Donald J. Milburn on March 27, 1971, at Hiawatha. They established their home in Omaha and lived there until returning to Falls City in the spring of 1988. They had lived here since. Mr. Milburn died on July 19, 2011.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Preceding Evelyn in death were her parents, both husbands, a brother, Richard Merz, and two sisters, Mildred Ludwig and Helen Kennedy.
Funeral services were held Friday morning, March 15, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, six miles north of Falls City. The Rev. Daniel Gifford officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Dorr & Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
