Betty L. Waddle

Betty L. Waddle, 84, of Falls City, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Lincoln. She was born Nov. 21, 1928, at Falls City, to the late Harry and Margaret (McMahan) Holbert.

She married Morris “Dash” Waddle Aug. 3, 1955, at Plattsmouth. He passed away Sept. 4, 1991.

Betty was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1947. Following graduation she worked at the ASCS office as a bookkeeper; she also worked for John Dyblie as a bookkeeper. The couple established their home in Falls City when married and she became a homemaker raising five children.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Waddle, of Falls City, Stephen Waddle of Kansas City, MO, and Mark Waddle, of Omaha; daughters, Joyce Campbell, of Falls City, and Janet Carlson, of Lenexa, KS; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Harriette Holbert, half-brothers, Wayne Mosiman, Merle Mosiman and Gus Holbert; half-sister, Bernice Burnette; granddaughter, Jiselle Anne Waddle.

Funeral services were held Monday at Dorr & Clark Funeral Home in Falls City, with Rev. Paul Weinert officiating. Interment at Steele Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday at the funeral home. More info at www.dorrandclark.com
