Norman (Norm) D. Catlett

Norm was born on April 4, 1937, near Barada, Nebraska to Don and Rose Catlett. He was raised in Richardson County, as the third of four brothers. He was an Army veteran and graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a degree in Architecture.

Norm spent his professional career as an architect, where he specialized in hospital and healthcare building design. He worked at HDR in Omaha for over 34 years. Norm loved his home and life in Ralston, surrounded by beautiful Oak trees.

Norm was passionate about watching his kids and grandkids play sports, reading, drawing, fishing, thrifting, and Nebraska Football. Norm especially loved westerns, his family dogs, and a good Bloody Mary.

Norm is survived by his wife, Susan (Fleskoski) Catlett, of 50 years; his daughter, Jenna Thomsen (Eric), his son, James Catlett, and his four grandchildren: Isaiah, Jacoby, Addison, and Alayna. He is also survived by his brothers, Delmar Catlett (Linda), Jim Catlett (Wauneta), sister-in-law, Ruth Catlett, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Eldon Catlett.

His family wishes to thank the Brookstone of Papillion staff for their service, care, and compassion over the past two years.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Beacon Hills in Aksarben Village on Saturday, February 21st between 2:00-5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Falls City Sacred Heart Catholic School or the Little White Dog Rescue in Norm’s memory.

Norm’s family intends to spread his ashes near Indian Cave State Park, where he was born.
