Deborah Lynn (Dean) Holloway

Deborah Lynn (Dean) Holloway, 68, of Falls City, Nebraska, died unexpectedly January 6, 2025.

She was born September 2, 1956, at Indio, California, the oldest of three children of Orville and Christine Housley Dean.  The family moved to St. Joseph, Missouri until 1962 when they returned to California for a short time.  The family returned to the Hiawatha community to live in 1963 where she grew up and attended schools.  

Debbie, as she was known by, served as Cub Master Pack 117 since the Pack’s beginning in 1987.  She was very proud to have been chosen chairman for the activities and civil service committee in the Kanza District in 1990, which served NE Kansas.  While being involved in Scouting, she received several awards she received several awards.

She placed many foreign exchange students around the NE Kansas area.

Debbie was a member AYA (Academic Year in America) in the northeast Kansas area.

Debbie was secretary and co-owner of Sutherland Printing on main street Hiawatha prior working as a certified nurse aide at the Brown County Infirmary, later Maple Heights Nursing Home, both of Hiawatha.  Debbie later attended classes to become a certified medical aide.

Survivors include her Father Orville L Dean; her children:  Shawn M. McQueen, Brandon E. McQueen (Desiree), and Tiffany N. Boyce (Jason); her brothers:  Terry Dean, Jerry Dean (Jerry), and many grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Christine Dean, and her uncle Wilbur Dean.
