Kelley Chic Anderson, 76, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on November 11, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born March 13, 1947 in Inglewood, California to Homer and Lucille (Kelley) Anderson. Kelley married Linda (Shafer) June 6, 1980 at Laguna Beach, CA. They made their home in Lincoln, NE.
Kelley had a love for music that started in junior high when he was a band member of The Midnighters. He graduated Class of 1965 from Savanna High School in Anaheim, California. After graduation he performed as singer and guitar player for Him and the Others with a recorded song, Voodoo Blues. He couldn’t imagine life without music.
Sometime after, he started managing the Warehouse, a nightclub in Anaheim, CA. In 1974, Kelley moved his family to Falls City, NE where he was the manager of the Falls City Elks Club. He later moved to Lincoln, NE. and held several management positions in the restaurant industry, mentoring the young and making lasting friendships. Kelley and Linda owned and operated The Roadhouse Bar and Grille in Lincoln from 2000 until they retired in 2013. They moved to Buckeye, Arizona and then later moved back to Lincoln to be with their family.
Kelley had a big smile and sense of humor that brightened the room. He was always giving words of wisdom, whether it be from his Book of Anderson or a quote from a famous movie. He lived by his own words, “You’re never too important to be nice to people.”
He is survived by his wife Linda of Lincoln, children: Shannon Anderson, Tiffany (Joe) Keithley, Joshua (Natalie) Anderson, Ryan (Holly) Rieschick and Lori Rieschick, Grandchildren: Hailey and Gabriel Lardizabal, Benjamin Dixon, Emerson, Tristan, Evan and Clayton Keithley, Maggy (Caleb) Nelson, Meg Rieschick, Macy (Jaxson) Balm, Great Grand-children: Fletch Nelson, Jordy Nelson, Millie Schieffer, Baby Boy Dupuis due January 1.
Kelley was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kevin Anderson.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the afternoon on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 12-4 at Rosie’s Banquet Hall, Lincoln, NE.
