Thomas N. Steinhauser, 72, of Orleans, NE died on July 23, 2025. Mr. Steinhauser was born July 20, 1953 to Clarence & Dorothy (Johnson) Steinhauser in Gregory, SD.
He graduated from Sacred Heart High school in Falls City, NE and later received his Machinist degree from Southeast Community College in Lincoln. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved both hunting and fishing.
Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife Dana Gail. He is survived by his children, Melanie (Shon) Denhoff, Amy Proctor, Thomas Steinhauser, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his siblings, Chuck Steinhauser, Cindy (Don) Kauk, Lavonne Eberhardt, Dennis (Roberta) Steinhauser, and Nancy (Brad) Schutte.
A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be 11:00 AM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510.
Inurnment will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in the St. Michael’s Cemetery-West Point, NE. At the request of the Steinhauser family there will be no public viewing/visitation, Tom’s wishes were for cremation. Memorials are suggested to Nebraska Game & Parks Commission.
