Susan Elaine (Ramer) McMann

Susan Elaine (Ramer) McMann, daughter of Gary and Janet (Griffiths) Ramer, was born August 9, 1967, in Falls City, Nebraska.  Susan grew up in the Stella and Shubert communities attending Southeast Consolidated Schools.  After high school, Susan attended beauty school in Beatrice.  

In her early years, Susan was a stay-at-home mom, caring for her two children, Kurtis and JC.  While at home with her kids, she shared her skills by cutting hair for some friends and family.  As her kids grew older, Susan began working as a certified nursing assistant providing care at nursing homes in Falls City, Humboldt, and Auburn.

Susan found joy in gardening and planting flowers around her house.  She also enjoyed crafting of all sorts.  Susan loved to be in the kitchen cooking and baking.  

When her health no longer allowed her to stay at home, Susan was moved to the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, and it was there that she passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, having reached the age of 57 years, 7 months, and 12 days.  

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Alice Ramer and Owen and Marjorie Griffiths.  

Those left to mourn her passing include her son and daughter-in-law Kurtis and Heather Kirkendall of Falls City; daughter JC McMann and significant other Damian Chiatti of Everett, WA; grandchildren Ashtyn and Kinze Kirkendall; mother Janet Ramer of Shubert; father Gary (Janice) Ramer of Reserve, KS; siblings Gary (Kellie) Ramer of Shubert, Dan Ramer (Dana Caulfield) of Falls City, Ron Ramer of Shubert, Nikki Ramer-Nissen (Scott) of Kansas City, KS, Tina Ramer of Nebraska City, Trisha (Phil) Shiley of Shubert; uncle and aunt Larry and Janet Griffiths of Owasso, OK; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jackie Gfeller, was held Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn.  Special pre-recorded music was played.  Casket bearers were Miranda Nelson, Braden Shiley, Paige Jante, and Colton Jante.  The Good Samaritan Society-Auburn Staff were designated as honorary bearers.  Burial was in Prairie Union Cemetery near Shubert.

Services were entrusted to Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn.
