Evelyn Pollock Herold, 84, of Topeka, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024.
She was born January 7, 1940, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Reverend William Montgomery and Mary (Pollock) Nichol. She was a graduate of Clifton Heights High School (Pennsylvania) and Sterling College (Kansas).
Evelyn married John J. Herold on June 25th, 1966 in Topeka, Kansas. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include her four children, Sherman (Nadine) Herold of Ozawkie, KS, Martin (Mary) Herold of Tecumseh, KS, Leonard (Janet) Herold of Oskaloosa, KS and David Herold of Topeka; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Grace Nichol of Media, PA; and her brother, Paul(Anne) Nichol of Shrewsbury, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Nichol.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
