Nancy Sue Palmer, 89, of Stewartsville, MO, passed away peacefully in her home on January 9, 2024 in Stewartsville, MO. She was born March 19, 1934 in Salem, NE to John and Katherine (Parker) Dunn. Sue lived in Nebraska with her sister Pat, parents and her Grandma Parker, until she married the love of her life, Donald Palmer.
She married Donald (Don) Palmer on November 4, 1950 in Rulo, NE. The two were married for 63 years and had four children. Those four children went on to give her 23 grandchildren that she treasured.
Don and Sue raised their family in Shawnee, Kansas. Sue was a homemaker and Don worked at TWA. When Don retired, they moved to Dawson, NE to be near Sue’s family. Then they moved to St. Mary’s, KS, to be close to their son Don.
Sue’s husband, Donald passed away on January 28, 2013. After his death, Sue moved to Stewartsville, MO to live out her days with her son Rick.
Nancy Sue is survived by her sons, Donald (Dob) and his family of St. Mary’s, KS. Richard (Rick) and his family of Stewartsville, MO. Benny (Ben) and his family of Holt, MO .
Sue had 23 grandchildren, and over 60 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Katherine (Katy) Palmer Wyatt, and her adored husband Donald.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.
