Beverly Ann Knobbe (Santo) of Barada, NE passed away on November 22, 2023 in Falls City, NE. Beverly was born to Charles and Bernice (Sinclair) Santo on February 28, 1940 at the residence of George and Katherine Sinclair, near Rulo, NE.
Beverly attended Vaughn Country School and a member of Saint Mary’s Arago Parish surrounded by her Santo cousins and many other friends. She graduated from Falls City Sacred Heart High School in 1958. Beverly attended Saint Mary College in Leavenworth, Kansas and completed nurses training prior to working in the Kansas City, KS area until 1962. Beverly’s commitment to caring for others was her life’s calling, leaving an enduring legacy of love, kindness, empathy, and compassion. Her gentle touch and caring heart have left an indelible mark not only on her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren but also on all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Bev married Johnny Knobbe Jr. on December 28th, 1963 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rulo, Nebraska and they were members of Saint Anne’s Parish, Shubert, Nebraska. They called Barada their home for the next 60 years. She was an active member of Saint Anne’s Parish Altar Society, Treasure Seekers Extension Club, and a devoted volunteer to Sacred Heart School Rescue Reading. Bev and Johnny loved their home, their farm, Sacred Heart School, Howard’s Grocery, and the Barada community of friends and family.
Beverly is survived by her ten children, David (Teresa), Falls City; Theresa Lyons (Joe) Ashland; Mary Daily (Michael) Lincoln; Christine Gabel (Rodney) Lincoln; Matthew (Michele) Lincoln; Kent (Jackie) Falls City; Melissa Eickhoff (Travis) Falls City; Marc (David Baillat) Washington D.C.; Jennifer Quicke (Bob) Lincoln; Todd (Amy) Katy, TX.
Grandchildren: Katie and Emma Knobbe; Gabe (Heidi), Haley and Shelby Lyons; Nicholas and Sophia Daily; Emma and Josephine Gabel; Dylan Knobbe (Michaela), Johnathon Knobbe (Mary Kate), Bailey (Jeremy) Keithley; Chloe and Cooper Knobbe; Jacob (Sara) and Olivia Eickhoff; Estella Herrera; Eli, Charles and Alex Quicke; Mia and Ella Knobbe. Great-Grandchildren; Foster Knobbe, Weston Eickhoff, Harlow Keithley.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, Charles and Bernice, and her brother Edward Santo.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2:00PM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Falls City with Father Jim Meysenberg as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery
A Parish Rosary will be recited Friday, November 24, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the rosary at O’Connor Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations will be directed towards Family Choice for later designation.
