William “Bill” H. Guilliams Jr., 80, passed away April 1, 2022 at his home in Falls City, Nebraska. He was born January 29, 1942 at Falls City to William “Bert” and Reba (Everhart) Guilliams. On September 27, 1960, Bill was united in marriage to Barbara Zimmerman in Falls City. They made their home in Falls City and later moved to Verdon. After Barbara’s passing, Bill married Valerie “Kay” Bestwick on April 1, 1985 in Falls City. Bill and Kay have made their home in Verdon, Nebraska and later Falls City.
Bill coached Pee Wee and Junior Midgets baseball in which he received a trophy with his team Southside Inn. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and was an avid Cornhusker fan. Bill had various careers throughout his life. He worked for many years at Frontier Homes, worked maintenance for the City of Falls City, a lineman for Burlington Northern Railroad, and later the town maintenance man for the Village of Verdon. Bill passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at his home in Falls City, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of eighty years, two months and three days. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Barbara.
Bill is survived by his wife Valerie “Kay” Guilliams of Falls City, NE; children: Robert Guilliams of Verdon, NE; Debra (Guilliams) Liming of Verdon, NE; step-daughters: Leota (Troncin) Specht of Verdon, NE; Tina (Troncin) Carney of Falls City, NE; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Debbie Adams of St. Joseph, MO; brother-in-law Edward Bestwick of St. Joseph, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Verdon Cemetery with Pastor Dorothy Smith officiating.
