Larry D. Russell, 60, passed away September 9, 2021, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born June 17, 1961, to Harlan and Charlene (Weddle) Russell.
Larry graduated from Falls City High in 1979. After graduation, he worked various jobs in the area. While working at Keim Trucking in Sabetha, KS, he met and married Peggy Havel. They had one son, Tyler. They were later divorced.
In 1998 he married Virginia Spellmeier of Sabetha, KS. They had twins, Chad and Abigail. They were later divorced.
He moved to Lincoln, NE, with his special friend, Dawn Buss.
Larry is survived by his mother, Charlene of Falls City, NE. His children, Chad and Abigail of Sabetha, KS, Tyler and his wife, Caelie of Sabetha, KS, grandchildren, Holden and Sawyer. A stepdaughter, Ashley Havel Cunningham and her two children Braxton and Mackenzie, of St. George, KS. Special friend Dawn Buss.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan, brother Robert, and Maternal grandmother Edna (Helms) Gerdes.
Larry chose to be cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
