Steven Vincent Martineau, 64 years of age, of Falls City, Nebraska, was born into his eternal life on Monday, May 3, 2021. On September 19, 1956, he was the first-born child to Larry and Ethel (Fouraker) Martineau in Falls City. Steven was raised in Falls City, where he received his schooling and graduated from Sacred Heart High School with the class of 1974. After graduating, he took on the study of auto mechanics, which greatly benefited himself and his family. Steven drove trucks for many years while working for Bohr Bros. and Niehaus in Sabetha, Kansas and later drove trucks for Western Dairymen’s Coop out of Thornton, Colorado. He was united in marriage to Mary Engel in Golden, Colorado, on November 17, 1984. To this union, two sons, Jason and Casey, were born. In 1998, the couple moved their family to Falls City, Nebraska, to leave the big cities behind and for their sons to attend Sacred Heart Schools. For a while, Steven worked at Casino White Cloud and Sac ‘N’ Fox Casino.
Steven is survived by his wife Mary of Falls City, sons: Jason Martineau and his lady friend Sara Connely and her son Zak of Kansas City, KS; Casey Martineau of Kansas City, MO; grandsons: Don and Anthony Martineau of Kansas City, KS; uncles: Jerry Martineau and wife Mary of Sioux Falls, SD; Jim Martineau and wife Debbie of Carthage, MO; a nephew Zak Peterson and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Vic Martineau and his sister Linda Peterson.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Maple Cemetery in Salem, Nebraska, with Father Lawrence Stoley officiating.
