Julie Slama and Janet Palmtag will advance to November in the General Election for Nebraska’s District 1 Legislative seat.
Tuesday night unofficial results showed Slama received 6,497 votes; Palmtag received 2,232 votes and Dennis Schaardt receiving 1,937 votes.
Richardson County UNOFFICIAL results put Palmtag in third place with 447 votes; Slama had 1,547 votes and Schaardvthad 501 votes.
Ben Sasse won Richardson County with a total of 1,375 votes over Matt Innis, who received 306 votes in the Republican Senate primary.
In the local race for County Commissioner District 2, David Sickel came out ahead with 331 votes over Jon Kirkendall who received 125 votes and Les Baker who received 119 votes.
In the race for County Commissioner District 3, Rick Karas came out ahead of Terry Frank who received 302 votes to Karas’ 371 votes.
Official results of all races will be printed in next week’s Falls City Journal.
