John “Jack” Krause, 90, of Falls City, passed away March 8, 2020 at Lincoln, NE. He was born July 25, 1929 at Alliance, NE to Johnny and Freda (Cruise) Krause.
He married Phyllis Malowney on January 11, 1954 at Lincoln, NE. She passed away June 19, 2011.
Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force in August 4,1948. He served in San Antonio, Tx, Okinawa, New York, Denver and Colorado Springs. He was honorably discharged in July 7, 1952.
Jack was raised at Alliance, NE and graduated Alliance High School in 1948. After his discharge he moved to Lincoln and worked various jobs until moving to Omaha and attended Electronics School. He then worked for Electornic’s Associate Paul Anderson at Omaha, taking over the business in 1969. He then purchased Paul Anderson’s electronics repair business at Falls City in 1971, renaming it Jack’s TV and Appliance. He closed the store in 1998 and then drove the Richardson County Handy Bus and worked for Ken’s Pharmacy until retiring in 2015. Jack was an avid bowler, bowling in Falls City Leagues until his health didn’t permit it. He was a member of First United Methodist Church at Falls City, Falls City Elks Lodge and Tiger Investment Club.
Jack is survived by his children, Cynthia Krause and her husband George Englehardt of Lincoln, John and his wife Kaye of Cedar Creek, NE, Randy and his wife Diane of Lincoln, Cheryl Zook and her husband Jonah of Bellevue, NE, sister, Margie Walker of Ft. Collins, CO and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
His memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Young Je Kim officiating. Military honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guards.
The family received friends one hour prior to service time at First United Methodist Church.
