Joyce Coxon, 82, of Falls City, NE, passed away October 27, 2019 at Falls City. She was born May 14, 1937 in Lore City, Ohio to Harold and Golda (Bates) Carter.
She married Charles W. Floyd and he passed away in 1963. She then married Marvin Cox on July 12, 1967 in Jackson, MI. He passed away November 30, 2003.
Joyce graduated Spring Arbor Free Methodist High School in Michigan. When married to Mr. Floyd they made their home in Spring Arbor, MI and then moved to Almeda, MI where she was a homemaker. When married to Mr. Coxon they made their home in Spring Arbor. She moved to Falls City in 2017 to be near her son. She enjoyed traveling and taking trips to the mountains of Colorado, Kentucky, Haiti and Cancun. She was a member of Hilltop Chapel Church in Concord, MI.
Joyce is survived by her son, Stephen Floyd and his wife Cheryl of Falls City, step-sons, Phil Coxon and his wife Lyn of Ft. Collins, CO, Les Coxon and his wife Myrna of Mason, MI, Kenny Coxon and his wife Debbie of Washington, Utah, Dave Coxon and his wife Shelly of Concord, MI, brother, Robert Carter of Arkansas, sister, Carolyn Buschner and her husband Cliff of Parma, MI, eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Regina Dexter and a grandson, Joshua David Floyd.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Stephen Floyd officiating.
